The Marseille Astrophysics Laboratory (LAM) is one of the largest astrophysical laboratories in France. Our research teams study the universe and its evolution in all its themes (solar system, exoplanets, stars, galaxies and cosmology). The LAM also has the means (technical and numerical) to participate in the development and construction of instrumentation for very large terrestrial observatories and for space observation missions.
The visitors will be able to see two of the LAM technological facilities: POLARIS platform, dedicated to optical polishing and fabrication, and the SPATIAL platform, dedicated to the assembly of cryogenic and vibration test of instruments.
